Scientific literature service department (SLSD) is a subdivision of scientific library of NSMU.

Functions of the department:

- informational  

- educational   

- enlightenment

Aims of the department:

1. Performing of library services with scientific literature for all categories of readers is carried out by structural subdivisions of the department.

2. Propaganda of literature to help the educational process and scientific work, pedagogical work.

- Reading hall of medical and natural science literature (room 2309)

- Storage sector of basic fund, including fund of rare books and donated books (room 2343)
